The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Set Review

The Body Shop always comes up with their limited edition every Christmas. I got The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Set as a Christmas gift for myself in 2016 (if I am not wrong). At that time they had come up with three new flavors; Frosted Cranberry, Vanilla Brulee and Glazed Apple. I picked up Frosted Cranberry Set randomly and this package had 4 products in total and I almost paid around 2400 Baht for this set:

Frosted Cranberry Lip Balm (20ml)
Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel (250ml)
Frosted Cranberry Body Butter (200ml)

Product Claims: The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel Bring a squeeze of seasonal sweetness and freshness to your shower. This juicy-smelling shower gel is bursting with a mouth-watering Frosted Cranberry fragrance. This cleansing body wash is scented with a vibrant fruity fragrance to bring festive indulgence to your shower time. It contains cranberry extract from North America, and Community Fair Trade honey. Contains top note cranberry seed oil as nourishing and moisturizing treat for the skin.

Texture: The texture of this shower gel is quite thin and runny. However, a little amount goes a long way. Hence, this bottle lasts for longer than usual shower gels . The actual shower gel comes in a translucent red color. It lathers up very well with or without a loofah(using a loofah was not harsh on the skin at all).

Packaging: The product comes in a sleek and slender transparent container. It has a flip-top lid that closes with a click. On the lid there is a logo of the body shop. Bottle has Christmas-themed picture with cranberries in the front and all the necessary information including the ingredients list at the back. The packaging is sturdy and leak-proof but too plain (It really lacks that attractive quotient).

Fragrance: This shower gel smells like a mixture of juicy berries and creamy vanilla. . It smells and feels fresh and heavenly on the skin. It truly holds that fruity festive fragrance just perfect for winter. Moreover, the fragrance lingers on the skin for quite a while if you layer it up with the whole range. I find this fragrance to be the strongest amidst all of their other shower gel fragrances (which is a big selling point).

My Take on The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel:

The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry's soap-free Shower Gel lather rich, cleans well and has a delicious scent. You can rinse it off very easily. It's one of those shower gel which won't leave your skin tight or dry. It is absolutely non-irritating on the skin hence will suit all skin types. Like all other products from this line, it has a fruity smell(it basically smells of cherry tarts to be precise) and does not last long if used alone. It literally fills the bathroom with its fragrance and makes the whole bath experience so surreal. It will lift your mood with its refreshing fragrance even if it does not contribute much to make your skin soft and supple. And starting your day with such a fresh smelling shower gel awakens the senses.This limited-edition shower gel is bit expensive than other shower gels (for the same amount of product). However, the luxury contents associated with it are worth the expense. It's more of a skin rejuvenating and aromatic property enriched product than shower gel.

My Tip: It will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth for up to 24 hours only if you layer it up with the body butter and mist.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel

No, I am not gonna repurchase it any time soon but if you are someone who are bored of sweet and floral fragrances then this fruity shower gel will be a good option for you. Make sure you buy the whole range coz' together it had worked really well for me.

Packaging:

The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Body Butter comes in the typical body shop body butter packaging(in bulky simple round flat tub). This one has a really beautiful image of a frosted cranberry on the lid. The container is bright red in color, which adds to a Christmas like feel. The product is a pretty pink cream,which has a thick consistency.

My Experience:

I Love Body Butters From The Body Shop(I am simply in love Body Butters in general and) and the reason is simple, I have very dry skin which needs a lot of care. The Body Shop has a lot of variants in their Body Butters and all of them work wonderfully on dry skin. The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Body Butter is thick, luxurious. It smells like sweet berry juice when you sniff from the tub but tart when you apply it which some may not like. This has a really thick formula that just sinks into the skin and and it gives you soft, supple and glowing skin all day long. I like the fruity scents, although I have noticed that a lot of TBA's scents have that synthetic fruit scent rather than real fruit juices. The smell faints over time but the skin stays hydrated all day long. It works even better straight if you use it along with shower gel and mist from the same range.

Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Body Butter?

I am someone who loose interest in the same product easily and love to try different products so I keep switching my body butters. So, I am not sure about buying this one anytime soon.

Would I Recommend?

All body butters from The Body Shop perform exceptionally well and they have various options available. But if you have dry skin like me then I will highly recommend the frosted cranberry especially for winter season(just ignore the scent if you are not into fruity scents). After using The Body Shop Body Butter Frosted Cranberry for a long time the fragrance grew on me over the time. Just be careful with the quantity, it does the job in half the amount you would require with some other body butter so if you go overboard, it might feel greasy.

Frosted Cranberry Body Spray Shimmer Mist Review

Product Claims:

Pros:

Cons:

Longevity as it does not last long (For better results you have to layer it up with shower gel and body lotion from the same line)

My Experience:

It smells absolutely divine; light and fruity yet subtle. Plus it does smell like cranberries as it claims. It has a really sweet fruity fragrance, which lingers on for a while but if you layer it up with other products from the same range the fragrance will last even longer. It certainly lasted for more than two-three hours on me and it used linger beautifully on my clothes as I always used to layer it up with shower gel and lotion from the same range.

In short, this product is amazing and I love the bottle as well as scent. This is a great scent for autumn and winter months just coz it makes me think of Christmas!

Would I Repurchase/Recommend it?

I am always trying new fragrances hence might not buy this one again any time soon but if you love the cranberry scent as much as I do then I would highly recommend this mist.

The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Lip Balm

Product Claims:

My Experience:

After all the moisturizing of your skin, your lips need some hydrating too right?

And that's when this balm comes really handy. It worked really well on my lips. After using this lip balm my lips felt soft and hydrated. It leaves a lasting impression with the sweet berries scent for long time on my lips which is a big plus for me. It's bit expensive for a lip balm but does its job really well.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend it?

I am always trying new products hence might not buy this one again but if you love the cranberry scent in your lip balm and want to give your lips a luxurious treatment then I would highly recommend this lip balm.

Final Verdict:

The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Set is a vibrant and juicy-smelling festive set. The Body Shop is a cruelty free brand and doesn’t test on animals(it's a PETA certified brand) which is a big selling point for many people including me. Overall, I liked this set but I’m not sure whether I will repurchase it any time soon coz I get bored of using same scented body care products for long. But in terms of recommendations, I’d definitely recommend this range if you haven't tried them yet or if you love the cranberry scent as much as I do.

PS: Needless to say, the body butter is one of my favorite products from this range.
